About Face To Face
We have created Face to Face to connect single people
living in North Wales who are looking to find romance or friendship in a fun,
safe and exciting way.

We are based out of The Red, Dyserth – an ideal venue for an evening out

What to expect at an event:
We have arranged a venue for our exclusive use and have invited an equal number of single men and women to come along for the evening to meet new
people. The speed dating will run from 7.00pm until 9.00pm and the evening breaks down like this:

Evening Flow:
-
Arrive at the venue between 6.30pm and 7.00pm to register and we will provide you with a name badge, a sheet of paper to record your ‘scores’ on and a prompt card which has a few ice breaker questions on it to get you started.
-
Vanessa and Nigel will say a brief hello and explain how the evening will run.
-
Each women will be sat at a numbered table and the men will move from table to table after chatting for 4 minutes to them. We will keep a track of the time and let you know when to move on.
-
There will be a break after an hour for everyone to grab another drink or pop to the loo.
-
At the end of the event you return your completed score sheet to either Vanessa or Nigel.
-
You are very welcome to stay for another hour after the event has ended to chill out and chat further if you would like to.
-
Vanessa or Nigel will be in touch within 48 hours to let you know of your ‘romance’ or ‘friendship’ matches and the corresponding contact details for each person.

Our Team.
Meet Vanessa and Nigel
Vanessa
I am in my mid-50’s and after over 30 years of living in London I returned to
North Wales for the next chapter of my life. I have spent a year trying to meet
a significant other via the dating apps. After a matter of a few months I
became really disillusioned with certain aspects of the apps (eg it became
really boring ‘shopping for a man’, I really disliked the overbearing focus on
how you look and I hated the unexciting text exchanges that can go on for
weeks without really learning much about the other person). Nigel and I were sitting in the pub one night talking about how fed up we both were trying to
meet someone this way. We started reminiscing about the ‘good old days’
when you just got chatting to a person and you would know really quickly
whether there was any connection between you or not. And Face to Face
was born!

Nigel
Hi Nigel here.

Mid fifties and single. Love 80s/90s music and the great outdoors.

Like Vanessa, I am totally disillusioned with dating sites. I have learnt some new phrases such as ghosting and red/green flags!

Lets go retro and actually meet real people and not be keyboard warriors!
